I took this picture in front of the Mont-Blanc, above Chamonix, while hiking. I was enjoying a break in front of the mountains, admiring the clouds dancing around the tops, when I spotted a small plane taking off. I am especially attracted by landscapes where you can feel the power of nature compared to the smallness of us humans, and this is what I felt with this tiny fragile plane in front of this massive giant.
Light was dancing on the snowy slopes of Mont-Blanc. When this paraglider came in, I could almost hear the stilness around her, gazing around to the perfect show that nature offers us.
Ascension
During my hikes in the Mont-Blanc valley, there were many occasions to take pictures of the surrounding mountain tops, but never was the sky the same. This time, there was a storm incoming, you could hear thunder echoing in the valley, but there was this incredible white light, surrounded by two different clouds one white and one dark. To me, this picture represents life and death, yin & yang.
